First Class is Free — Call: (731) 603-9465

New Students — Welcome

If you are nervous about your first class, you are normal. Here is everything you need to know to make it easy.

1. Your First Class Is Free

Any class type, any teacher, any time on the schedule. No catch. We do this because we know once people experience yoga at our studio they often stick with it — and we don't want money to be the reason someone never tries.

2. Which Class Should I Pick?

If you have never done yoga before: start with Beginners Yoga or Hatha. Both move slowly and explain everything.

If you have done a little yoga and want something more athletic: Vinyasa Flow.

If you are stressed, tight, or recovering from an injury: Restorative or Yin.

If you are pregnant: Prenatal (or a Restorative or Yin class with your OB's clearance).

3. What to Wear

4. What to Bring

That is it. We provide mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps.

5. When to Arrive

10-15 minutes early for your first class. The teacher will get you set up, show you where everything is, ask about any injuries, and answer questions before class starts.

6. What If I Can't Do a Pose?

You modify. The teacher will offer modifications during class. If something hurts (sharp pain, not just intensity), come out of it. Yoga is not a competition. The student who modifies most often is often the smartest one in the room.

7. Should I Eat Before?

A light snack 1-2 hours before is fine. Avoid a heavy meal in the 90 minutes before class — many of the postures compress the belly.

8. After Your First Class

Drink water. You may feel calmer, sleepier, or more energized than usual — all normal. Some students feel mildly sore the next day (especially in shoulders or hips). It fades.
